The Kenilworth Catenian Circle

Kenilworth Circle (202) is part of the Catenian Association. The Catenian Association is an international body of Catholic men who meet at least once a month in local units called Circles, to enjoy each other's company, support each other and through that support strengthen their family life and faith through friendship.

Catenians take an active part in the life of their parishes and many play a leading role in their dioceses and Catholic lay organisations locally and nationally. Kenilworth circle is a daughter circle of Coventry Circle and was founded in 1961. We belong to Province 6, a group of 23 Catenian Circles in the West Midlands.

"One of the great privileges of being a Catenian is to be able to visit another circle anywhere in the country and find yourself in the midst of welcoming brothers who share the same values and purpose." Alan Smith - Malvern Circle

Charitable work

Although we are not primarily a fund raising association, we do support good causes. Each year the President of the Circle nominates a charity and most monies that we raise during that year are channeled to that charity.

Our President for 2025/25 Robert Hodges is raising funds for Friends of the Holy Land, working to support Christians in the West Bank, Gaza, Israel and Jordan. Many members choose to make regular donations to our Bursary fund (which aims to help young Catholics to discover themselves while helping others) and to our Benevolent fund which supports brothers in need.

We also run a number of events to support young people. These include an annual public speaking competition with regional heats and a national fimal. Supporting young people seeking to make a difference to others via our Bursary fund and supporting the running of Flame, a national gathering for young people to explore and express their faith.
